Crucial Meeting: Voter Awareness Forum Convened by Collector and District Election Officer at Jabalpur Engineering College on 11 March 2024:

The meeting of Nodal Coordinators for the Voter Awareness Forum, held at Jabalpur Engineering College on March 2024, was guided by Mr Deepak Saxena, the Collector and District Election Officer, along with Mrs Jayati Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat and Sweep Nodal Officer. Dr P.K Jhinge, Principal of Jabalpur Engineering College, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the meeting through his involvement and dedication.Principals from all engineering colleges in the district actively joined this important gathering, focusing on raising awareness among voters for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

During the meeting, there were detailed discussions on the strategies needed to engage and inform the electorate effectively. Dr P.K. Jhinge encouraged all principals to adhere to the time limits set by the district administration for completing their tasks. Mr. Pramod Shrivastava, the District Sweep Coordinator from the District Collector's Office, briefed them on the upcoming activities and issued directives to

ensure completion within the next month. Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, Head of the Physics Department and member of the District Sweep Committee emphasized the importance of raising awareness to increase the district's voter turnout and strengthen the nation's democracy. Specific tasks were assigned to committee members, including Nodal Coordinators and the Sweep Coordinator, ensuring the smooth execution of voter awareness campaigns. Targets and timelines were set to complete these activities as per the directives from the District Election Office Furthermore, ongoing activities related to district sweep were reviewed, with clear instructions given to expedite their implementation. The collaborative efforts among principals from different engineering colleges highlighted their collective commitment to increasing voter participation.

Following the directives of the District Election Office at Jabalpur Engineering College, a Voter Awareness Forum was established to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, adhering to the provided guidelines.The college promptly established a committee led by Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge, who assumed the role of president. Dr. Durgesh Nandini, Dr. Atul Sharma, Prof. Pradeepti Lakra, and Prof. Devendra Meda were appointed as Nodal Officers, while Atul Mishra, Pyali Shah, Palak Chaudhary, Shubhanshu Pandey, and Mayank Ahirwar were designated as Campus Ambassadors. This committee will manage voter awareness programs within the college, operating closely under the guidance of the District Election Officer.
