Self-Reliant India in Space/ अंतरिक्ष में आत्मनिर्भर भारत: Vigyan Bharti's Five-Day Workshop Culmination, 7 October 2023

Maha Kaushal Vigyan Parishad organised a captivating five-day workshop, ‘JIGYASA 2023’ which centered around the theme of "Self-reliant India in Space." The workshop spanned from October 3, 2023, to October 7, 2023. The grand culmination of this intellectually stimulating event occurred on October 7, 2023, within the confines of the college's Jashan auditorium, ensuring an engaging and inspiring experience for all attendees.

The concluding ceremony of JIGYASA 2023 commenced with a heartfelt prayer to Goddess Sarasvati, offered by esteemed dignitaries. Dr. P.K Jhinge, Principal of JEC, presided over this momentous occasion. This auspicious beginning was succeeded by an inspiring address from Dr. Anurag Kumar, Director of the Science City Kolkata. He emphasized the importance of students not fearing failure, highlighting how Chandrayaan-3's success was a result of scientists' persistent efforts and their capacity to learn from setbacks. Dr. Kumar also highlighted India's distinctive strength in overcoming technological shortcomings, citing advancements in fields like supercomputing and cryogenic engines as examples.

Shri Praveen Ramdas, the Secretary of Vigyan Bharati, described Vigyan Bharti as a platform that connects students with renowned scientists in the country. During the program, Dr. Shilpa Pandya, a scientist from the Birbal Sahni Institute, gave a talk on the ‘Importance of Fossils’.

Dr. Brijesh Pandya, Director of the Indian National Science Academy, provided an overview of the journey from Chandrayaan 1 to Chandrayaan-3. The event featured the presence of Dr. Anil Kothari, Director of the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal, Dr. Ghanshyam Soni, District Education Officer, and Dr. Alok Khare from the Pollution Control Board in Jabalpur.

Dr. Sunita Sharma delivered the program's report, and prizes were awarded to students who participated in the workshop, including first, second, third, and consolation prizes. The entire program was skillfully coordinated by Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, Head of Applied Physics Department and Prof. Sunil Kumar Singh. Dr. Sujit Mahobia played a pivotal role in providing special support during the event. Dr. Surendra Singh, Dr. Mukesh Rai, along with several others, graced the program with their presence. Mrs. Mukta Bhatele efficiently managed the stage, while Engineer Prabhat Dubey expressed his heartfelt gratitude as the program drew to a close.
