Linking Voices: Voter Awareness Chain at JEC on 18 March 2024.

The Voter Awareness Forum, in anticipation of the 2023-24 Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and in collaboration with the ongoing Sweep activities, organized a significant event – the formation of Human Chain on March 18, 2024. On March 18, 2024, a Voter Awareness Human Chain was created at Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur, under the ELC Club as part of the Sweep activities. Students and professors participated in the creation of the human chain, which included relevant slogans, posters, and other materials to inspire voter turnout. Dr. Atul Sharma shed light on the importance of voting during the program, guided by Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge and college Nodal Officers Prof. Pradeepti Lakra, Dr. Atul Sharma and Dr. Durgesh Nandini with the support of campus ambassadors, the event was successfully organized.

The human chain serves as a visual representation of unity and solidarity among students and faculty members, emphasizing the collective commitment towards promoting democratic values. Students and professors participated in the creation of the human chain, which included relevant slogans, posters, and other materials to inspire voter turnout. Through catchy slogans and informative posters, participants effectively communicated important messages about voting and the electoral process. Slogans such as “Instead of using the Bullet, use the Ballot”, "Your Vote, Your Voice" and "Every Vote Counts" highlight the significant role individuals play in shaping the country's future by actively participating in elections. Principal Dr. P.K. Jhinge's active involvement in the human chain was particularly commendable, as he led by example and motivated others to join in. His presence served as a source of inspiration for all participants, instilling a sense of purpose and enthusiasm in promoting democratic values formation.
