National Youth Day at Jabalpur Engineering College: A Tribute to Swami Vivekananda's Legacy on 12 January 2024.

In alignment with the directives from the Madhya Pradesh Technical Education Skill Department and Employment Department, Jabalpur Engineering College organized a lively cultural program to celebrate National Youth Day from January 11 to 15, 2024. The event, held on January 12, 2024 focused on highlighting the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Shri Ved Prakash ji, former Municipal Corporation Commissioner of Jabalpur, graced the event. He very eloquently shed light on the inspirational aspects of Swami Vivekananda's impactful life, emphasizing values for the youth.

Dr. P.K. Jhinge, the Principal, in his presidential address, said that these programs aim to translate the virtues of great leaders into practical actions, emphasizing the need to learn and implement valuable lessons from their teachings. Many aspects of their wisdom are found in books and observed on television, yet the crucial aspect is to discern how much we can assimilate and adapt to our lifestyle. Dr. A.K Sharma, Dean Academics, shared insights into Swami Vivekananda's spiritual journey, emphasizing his dedication to spreading the message of Sanatan Dharma globally. Event coordinator Dr.Anubha Maheshwari, the Head of Applied Chemistry, narrated compelling stories from Swami Vivekananda's life, highlighting the importance of education and cultural values in the lives of students Dr Amita Saxena delivered a powerful message on self-control from Swami Vivekananda's life.

Dr. Shweta Thakur recited Guru Vandana to enlighten students about the profound significance of the Guru in the life of Swami Vivekananda highlighting the pivotal role played by Vivekananda's Guru, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, who had a transformative impact on his life.

The cultural program highlighted a variety of talents during the celebration of National Youth Day. It commenced with a classical dance performance by Sneha Chatterjee followed by engaging group dance performances, street plays, posters, and poetry.Meghraj Jain presented a poem which centered around the theme "Vivekananda Ji Ki Jivani." Simultaneously, Sanskar Jain delivered a speech on the life of Swami Vivekananda. Additionally, Sneha Chatterji recited a Bengali poem dedicated to Swami Vivekananda.The event aimed to reflect and share Swami Vivekananda's teachings and legacy by embracing his principles and messages.

Dr. Kamal Kushwaha, the Head of Applied Physics, skillfully compered the program. Dr. Vasudha Saxena, in addition to introducing the chief guest, played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the National Youth Day celebration. Vini Shrivastava proposed the vote of thanks. This concise yet impactful celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, was envisioned by the Principal ,Dr.Jhinge and successfully implemented by Coordinator Dr.Anubha Maheshwari. This event showcased Jabalpur Engineering College's commitment to holistic education.Dr. Uma Singh,Dr. Sangeeta Gupta and Rani Ayachi played an important role in making the program successful.
