Sankalp Scheme: Student Participation in a Journey of Learning at NPTI Shivpuri during 26th to 30th December 2023.
Under the Sankalp Scheme of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, students from JEC actively participated in yet another industrial training program,
scheduled from 26th to 30th December 2023 at the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) in Shivpuri near Satanwada.
This intensive one-week program provided a learning experience for 35 students of JEC from the 5th and 7th semesters, along with other students of
various Government Engineering Colleges.
The program focused on utilizing real-time simulators for four power plants at NPTI Shivpuri. This included simulations on Smart Grids,
Wind Power Generation & Synchronization, Photo Voltaic cells, and Hydrogen fuel cells. The simulators covered plants such as 210 MW Dadri (UP),
800 MW Kudgi (NTPC) Karnataka, 250 MW Napthajhakri (Jammu & Kashmir) Hydal Power Plant, and 500 MW Korba, Chattisgarh, offering valuable insights into
their operations.
The Sankalp-backed training smoothly combined theory and practical sessions, helping students understand power plant operations better.
The use of the SCADA system for remote monitoring emphasized the scheme's focus on modern technology education. The training program went
beyond the walls of NPTI to include on-site visits, such as touring the 33kV substation and closely examining the 20 kW solar rooftop installation at NPTI.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to Director Shri Deepak Pandit, Deputy Director Shri. Yogesh Paliwal, and Shri Rohit Gupta for their invaluable contributions
and support throughout the program at NPTI. The principal, Dr P.K Jhinge played a crucial role in motivating students to actively participate in the event,
aligning with the government's vision for skill development and education. Dr Jhinge appreciated Dr Preeti Jain for her commendable efforts and guidance.
