CoDark Team of JEC Participates in Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon 2023 Grand Finale: 16th & 17th February 2024.
Jabalpur Engineering College's 'CoDark' team showcased their innovative prowess by participating in the Round 3 Grand Finale of the Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon 2023, held at IIT BHU. Competing against 170 teams selected from all over India, the CoDark team demonstrated remarkable skill and ingenuity. The team informed Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, that their projects adopted a modular approach, encompassing 150 topics. This detailed presentation showcased how their solutions could tackle dark patterns—tricky online design strategies that lead users to make bad choices.

The CoDark team, guided by their dedicated mentor, Professor Madhuri Gokhale, and supported by Nodal Officer Dr. Bhavna Jhariya, represented their college with distinction. Their participation highlighted the teamwork and dedication to innovation encouraged at Jabalpur Engineering College. After a rigorous evaluation process that spanned four rounds, the winners were announced and honored on March 15, 2024 in celebration of World Consumer Rights Day. This achievement would not have been possible without the principal's keen interest and encouragement, which ensured students exposure in every area.
