‘Curtain Raiser’- A Prelude to the 8th Indian International Science Festival: January 16, 2023
In line with India’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Jabalpur Engineering College organised a
‘Curtain Raiser’ program at Jaishan Auditorium on January 16, 2023, as a ‘Prologue’
to the 8th Indian International Science Festival, scheduled from January 21 to January 24, 2023,
at MANIT Bhopal. The Ministry of Science and Technology conducted this programme in collaboration
with the Ministry of Earth Science, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Space, the
Government of Madhya Pradesh and Vigyan Bharti. While addressing the gathering, the chief guest of the function,
Shri Ashok Ishwardasji Rohani, MLA, Kent Jabalpur, said that we aim to add new dimensions to ancient science.
It is our responsibility to provide a platform for talent. The main speaker of the programme, Dr Tripti Thakur,
Director General, National Power Training Institute, New Delhi, gave detailed information about the work being done
in the country on renewable energy. Mahakoshal Science Council Secretary, Er. Prabhat Dubey said that Vigyan Bharti
bridges the commoner and the scientists and provides an opportunity for progress to those interested in science.
The programme was presided over by Dr P.K Jhinge, Principal, Jabalpur Engineering College, and Shri Ghanshyam Soni,
DEO, was the Special Guest. In this Indian International Science Festival, ninety selected students from educational
institutions of Jabalpur will get a platform to share their talent.
