Engineers’ Day Celebration on 14 & 15 September 2022

The Engineering Community across India celebrates Engineers Day on 15th September every year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer and Bharat Ratan recipient, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, popularly known as Sir MV. On this special day, the Student Chapter of the Institute of Engineers of the Electrical Engineering Department conducted two days of student activities on the 14th and 15th of September 2022. On the first day, a competition on ‘Innovative Idea’ and ‘Poster Design Competition was organized. Several students enthusiastically participated in both these events. They made PowerPoint Presentations on several innovative ideas in different fields like Agriculture, Medical Health Care, Waste Management, Solar Power etc. They made posters on themes like renewable energy, energy saving etc. The programme was inaugurated by Dr P.K Jhinge, Principal JEC, along with Dr A.K Kori, Head of the Department, Dr A.K Sharma, former principal & Dr Preeti Jain, coordinator of the programme. On 15 September 2022, Prof S.C Choubey, RGPV, Bhopal, was invited to deliver a Guest Lecture on the ‘Internet of Things’. On this occasion, the Guest Speaker spoke about the challenges and issues involved in IoT.
