Exhibition on “ Contribution of Tribal Communities in Nation Building” in Consonance with Amrit Mahotsav on January 31, 2023
An exhibition on the theme of “ Contribution of Tribal Communities in Nation Building”
was organised at JEC on 31 January 2023. The chief guest of the function was Shri Pramod Kushwaha,
a leading contemporary painting artist of national repute.The exhibition was preceded by a painting
and poster competition in which the students depicted the various aspects of tribal communities' life and culture on their drawing sheets.
In their paintings, they narrated the ways in which the tribals played a key role in preserving
the rich culture and heritage of our country. On this occasion, in his presidential address, Dr P.K Jhinge,
Principal JEC, appreciated the programme and highlighted the government's agenda and schemes for uplifting
the tribals. He also highlighted the valiant efforts of the tribal freedom fighters. Dr A.K Kori, Prof & Head,
Department of Electrical Engineering, spoke about the overall contribution made by the tribal community

towards nation-building. He also opined that such events give students a chance to showcase their
latent talent and make them mentally sharp. Dr Jhinge exhorted the staff and the students to visit
the exhibition and leave with a piece of precious history for remembrance. The jury members for
this competition were Dr A.K Sharma, Prof. M. P Parsai and Dr Rajeev Chandak. After careful consideration
of all the exhibits by the judges, the first position was awarded to Arya Shrivastava and Parul Shrivastava;
Nandini Maravi and Pramod Yadav secured the second position; Arpita Gangele and Amit Kumar Dhar got the
third prize. Certificate of participation was given to all the participants
The exhibition was well managed and organised by Prof. Pradeepti Lakra and Prof Sudeep Mohaney.
