JECAA Gold Medals: Inspiring Excellence for Future Generations on 24 November 2023.
The prestigious JECAA gold medal distribution ceremony unfolded on November 24 , 2023, at the Jashan Auditorium of the college,
graced by esteemed dignitaries. Among them were Er M. S Gujral, the President of JECAA, Er. Arvind Mohan Nayak, Member of JECCA,
Dr Jyoti Choubey, retired Head of the Applied Physics Departmen, JEC and Dr Anurag Trivedi, Principal, GEC Sagar. The program was
presided over by Dr P.K Jhinge, Principal, JEC. During this occasion, 32 Gold Medals and certificates were given to the students who
scored the highest marks in the years 2018-22 and 2019-23
This year, two new gold medals were introduced following the approval from the JECAA members.
These include the Shyamanand Memorial Gold Medal, a distinct honour for the highest achiever in the
Electrical Engineering branch, and the Ruchi Nigam Memorial Gold Medal, awarded to the topper of M.Sc Applied Physics.
The program began in a very traditional way, with the dignitaries lighting the lamp to solicit the blessings of goddess Saraswati.
Following this, the event coordinator, Dr Shilpa Saxena, gave a precise overview of the program and extended her gratitude to the
JECAA members for their continuous support in organizing the annual gold medal distribution, highlighting their encouragement to
the students of their alma mater.
In his speech, Principal Dr. P.K Jhinge shared that the much-awaited gold medal distribution program is now being revived.
He mentioned that the earlier delay was due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. After discussions in a JECAA meeting
the decision was made to hold the event within a month. The chosen date was confirmed only after the completion of preparation for
gold medals and certificates.
Shri Arvind Mohan Nayak, while addressing the gathering, mentioned that the tradition of awarding gold medals to JEC students
was envisioned and implemented by JECAA President Lt. Er Santosh Kumar Gupta. This tradition has endured over time, with the principals
playing a key role in preserving and upholding the legacy established by Shri. Gupta.
President Er M.S Gujral expressed gratitude for the chance to award gold medals to meritorious students.
He emphasized that students now have the medals, allowing them to share this achievement with future generations.
Dr Kanchan Khare earned praise for flawlessly hosting the program. She made the program smooth and engaging. Dr. Kamal Kushwaha,
the program coordinator expressed gratitude to all for dedicating their time to support and inspire future students for improved performance.
In essence, the act of awarding gold medals went beyond a ceremonial gesture.
It became a bridge connecting the present moment of recognition to the enduring legacy that each gold medal represented.
