JEC's Glorious Tribute: Celebrating 77th Independence Day in the Spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" (August 15, 2023)
On August 15, 2023, Indiacelebrated its 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom. This year's theme,
"Nation First, Always First," encapsulates the spirit of patriotism and unity, resonating with the ideals of the
"Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" initiative. Preceding India's 77th Independence Day, the college building was bedecked
in resplendent tri-colour lighting, fervently participating in the celebrations as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav."
The flag unfurling ceremony, led by the esteemed principal, Dr P.K. Jhinge, resonated with the notes of the national anthem.

Subsequently, Dr Jhinge addressed the assembled gathering, initiating his speech with a
poignant reflection on the institution's journey. This journey uniquely aligns with
the historic timeline of India's 77th Independence Day, with great honour and respect,
he highlighted the remarkable contributions of the alumni of this esteemed college.
These notable individuals have made significant contributions in prestigious organizations
like ISRO, NASA, and DRDO among others. During his address, he proudly shared the inspiring
news about the contribution of two alumni in the launch of Chandrayaan-3, a testament to their
exceptional commitment in the field of space exploration. With the utmost respect, he spoke about
the Aspire Scholarship, generously sponsored by our esteemed alumnus and Padma Shri awardee, ShriAjai

Chowdhryji. He shared an update on the college's recent developments,
highlighting that in the 2022-23 session, the college successfully adhered to its academic calendar.
This achievement led to the college in attaining the distinction of being the first in the state to announce
its results. He also emphasized that the committed efforts of the administrative staff played a pivotal role
in addressing all pending cases related to the college. He also praised the counselling team for their instrumental
role in efficiently conducting the admission process. The principal's speech was followed by a resounding patriotic
pledgewhich was a symbolic gesture of loyalty to the country “मेरीमाटीमेरादेश”/ "My Soil, My Country," led by NCC Officer Lt.
Sunil Singh. It was a way to remind people of their responsibilities as citizens and to actively contribute to the progress
and betterment of the nation.The program concluded withstirring patriotic songs sung by college students and the distribution
of sweets to everyone in attendance
