JEC Proudly Salutes the Tricolor on 75th Republic Day: January 26, 2024.
Jabalpur Engineering College joined the nation in celebrating India's 75th Republic Day. Two days before the celebration,
the college building was adorned with vibrant lights, creating a patriotic atmosphere. On January 26, 2024, the momentous day,
Principal Dr P.K. Jhinge unfurled the tricolour Indian National flag amid a shower of colourful flowers.
The flag hoisting was accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, enveloping the entire atmosphere
with a sense of patriotism. The NCC cadets saluted the flag, adding to the patriotic atmosphere. The patriotic spirit
was heightened as Dr Jhinge proudly raised the national flag in the college hostel also, emphasizing the significance of the day.

In his brief Republic Day address, the Principal, Dr Jhinge highlighted significant achievements that defined the essence
of the college in the academic session 23-24. Notably, he reflected on the successful signing and implementation of Memorandums
of Understanding (MOUs) with prestigious institutions like IIT Indore, IIT Jodhpur, and IIT Kanpur. These collaborations extend
opportunities beyond traditional boundaries, providing deserving students exposure to a diverse academic environment
Dr Jhinge, with heartfelt congratulations, commended the examination control team, including Dr Ashit Shukla (Examination Controller),
Dr.Anubha Maheshwari (Examination Superintendent), and Prof. Arun Pachori (Valuation Cell In-charge), for successfully managing the
academic calendar amid challenges posed by the Legislative Assembly Election. He appreciated Dr Samar Upadhaya's efforts in salary fixation,
document verification, and counselling, recognizing their crucial roles in the smooth functioning of faculty and student administration.
In terms of academics, he highlighted that the curriculum has been upgraded and approved by the Academic Council to prepare students
for the changing global scenario, making them more employable. Additionally, industrial training in the final semester and the introduction
of multiple online courses aim to further enhance students' job readiness.
In an update, the principal announced the nearing completion of the Incubation Center, supporting start-ups for both students and individuals
beyond the college. Dr Bhavna Jhariya played a crucial role in making this initiative a reality.
The principal also praised the work of Dr Durgesh Nandini coordinator of the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) at JEC for organizing a
range of activities, including workshops, cultural events, quizzes, drawing, painting, poster making, and slogan writing competitions
to actively promote electoral awareness among the masses. He recalled the lively National Youth Day celebration from January 11 to 15, 2024,
featuring a vibrant cultural program, insightful lectures, engaging industrial visits, sports and yoga activities in honour of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary.
He applauded Dr D.C Rahi for his significant contribution to the sports activities of the college and praised the students for winning medals for the college at the national level.
Acknowledging the diligence of the administrative section, he praised their hard work in clearing the backlog of pending matters, setting a standard for administrative efficiency that the college aims to maintain in the future.
Dr.Jhinge highlighted the notable contributions to infrastructure development, placing special emphasis on the
inauguration of the recently constructed Academic Block. The establishment of state-of-the-art laboratories in the
Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was also highlighted. Additionally, enhancements were implemented
in hostel facilities, aiming to create a more conducive environment for our students.
The Principal also highlighted the Silver Jubilee Reunions of the 1997 & 1998 batches. He expressed appreciation for both the batches,
commending their commitment to maintaining the tradition of celebrating reunions and acknowledging their valuable contributions to their alma mater.
Every conceivable measure has been implemented to inspire and enable the students of JEC to actively contribute towards the realization of our Hon’ble
Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s vision of "Viksat Bharat" or a Developed India.
