Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ‘Prabudh Jan Samvad ‘ on 9 April 2023:
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the ‘ Prabudh Jan Samvad’
program organised at Manas Bhavan Auditorium, Jabalpur on April 9, 2023. This programme was attended by the
principal Dr P.K Jhinge along with the faculty members. The main purpose of attending this programme was to provide
valuable insight to the students about available job options for students in future and make them industry ready.

In this programme, the Hon’ble chief minister gave a brief outline of the state government’s schemes and future
prospects for employmentThe Hon’ble chief minister, while talking to the intellectuals, said that the state government
will become rich by making use of the talent of the citizens of the state. A Global Park will be built in Jabalpur to
make the youth more employable. Industrial possibilities will be explored, in the area of 456 kilometres, around Ring Road.
He further said that the livelihood mission is being promoted by disbursing monthly loans under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti’
and Self-employment schemes. He said that he is against unemployment allowance. That is why ‘Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Kamai Yojana’
has been started, in which an amount of Rs 8100/ will be given to the youths to learn job skills. With this learning, they can
have a bright future. He said that the condition of the road was deplorable before 2003. It was not known whether “there were
potholes in the roads or if the road was built on the potholes”. Today, there is a network of roads all around the state.
Due to the increase in the connectivity of roads in the state, investment is also increasing. The chief minister said that
the state will get new dimensions of development from Atal Expressway, Narbada Expressway and Vindhya Expressway.
He further said that Narbada Expressway is his dream project because it will promote business and job opportunities.

decisions and in their professional life ahead of them.It is worth noting that the contribution of the Department
of Civil Engineering of JEC, towards improving roadways cannot be denied. JEC has been providing Technical Consultancy
to the state govt of Madhya Pradesh, under theable guidance of Prof R.K Yadav and his team of professors from the
Department of Civil Engineering.
