JEC Batch 1998: Silver Jubilee Reunion - A Day of Nostalgia, Gratitude, and Passing the Baton- December 22, 2023.
On December 22, 2023, the Alumni of Batch 1998 gathered on campus to celebrate their Silver Jubilee Reunion.
The entire day's celebration was divided into two phases. The day unfolded with the ceremonial inauguration of
the newly renovated Classroom C5 within the Civil Engineering Department. This inauguration was done by the Principal,
Dr P.K Jhinge, an alumnus of JEC, along with Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Head of the Civil Engineering Department.
The occasion was attended by the department faculty and other distinguished Alumni of the 1998 batch.
Additionally, the Electrical Engineering branch generously donated garden benches, while the Electronics & Telecommunication
Engineeringbranch contributed a new set of tables and chairs for the Head of Department's room.The alumni have chosen to enhance
the Mechanical Engineering Department's courtyard by adding a fountain and are also planning to design and enhance its overall
aesthetic appeal.
After the inauguration, a heart-warming cultural program unfolded. The Alumni, greeted with sacred tilak and flowers by
their fellow batch-mates upon entering the Jashan auditorium, felt a profound connection with the college.
The program commenced with a deeply emotional moment as a ceremonial lamp was tenderly lit by retired Prof. S.K Sant,
Dr I.K Khanna, Prof. Veerendra Kumar, Director of Technical Education & State Project Advisor of Madhya Pradesh, Principal
Dr P.K Jhinge, and other respected dignitaries who had played indispensable roles throughout the four years of their engineering studies.
In his brief address, Dr.Jhinge conveyed deep appreciation to the Alumni for their enduring affection towards their alma mater.
He acknowledged their commitment to preserving the tradition of celebrating the Alumni Reunion, highlighting the special bond
they continue to share with their educational roots. In a touching gesture of gratitude shawls were presented to all the professors present
, symbolizing the enduring bond between students and their teachers.

The Alumni then actively participated in the cultural event, which was an amalgamation of singing,
dancing, and music, The program was enriched by a profoundly moving poem that conveyed heartfelt gratitude
to their teachers, creating a truly memorable experience. They shared experiences from their enjoyable college days
and engaged with fellow batch-mates and teachers, cherishing fond memories of their college life. In their concise speeches,
Alumni conveyed gratitude for the positive impact the institution had, on their lives. The program concluded with the symbolic
passing of the reunion baton to the next batch, encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of the Alumni.
