Silver Jubilee Reunion Celebration of 1996 Batch on 17 December 2022
A Silver Jubilee Reunion ceremony of the alumni of the 1996 batch was held on 17 December 2022. Many former students from abroad and from different cities of the country had come to Jabalpur to participate in this function. The celebration began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by the Principal, Dr P.K Jhinge, Dr Manish Choubey and Dr S. K Sant. The reverence ceremony of goddess Saraswati
was followed by a song honouring senior retired Professors of JEC. A talk show was organised on “ The
Challenges and Possibilities of Engineering Education in the 90s and in the Present times”
by Er Prasoon Gargava and Er. Vivek Sarwate moderated the talk show. The Silver Jubilee reunion
batch also felicitated the present teachers with roses and mementoes. Dr Jhinge expressed his views
on the significance of the reunion programmes. Dr Amarjeet Singh,
Dr Ahluwalia, Prof. N.K Sharma and Prof P.K Jain were the other notable alumni present on this occasion.
Er. Rajkumar Thakur and Er. Deependra Khare of the 1996 reunion batch presented to Dr Jhinge a pictorial paper presentation of their pledge to give a statue of Goddess Saraswati, 25 tables-chairs, and 50 beds to their alma mater to leave back a lasting remembrance of their Silver Jubilee celebration.
The day ended with a hearty lunch, and the alums proceeded with informal meetings to bond more and bid farewell to each other. In the end, they had a nostalgic tour of the campus and the hostels and were happy to
share their lasting memories of their alma mater. These reminiscences were made possible because of the sincere efforts of Er Ashish Tiwari, Er Yogesh Agrawal, Er Manish Gupta, Er Kamlesh Rathor & Er Abhishek Jain. Finally, the batton of
the Silver Jubilee Reunion was handed over to the 1997 batch to encourage them to follow the footprints of their seniors.
