TEDx-JEC (February 15-16, 2024) Inaugural: Igniting Inspiration: February 15, 2024:
TEDx JEC, themed "Infinity Mirage: Reengineering the Future", was hosted at Jabalpur Engineering College on February 15-16, 2024. The event commenced with an invocation of Lord Ganesha for divine blessings. Shri Ashok Ishwardas ji Rohani, a Member of the Legislative Assembly, honoured the occasion as the chief guest. Eminent dignitaries, including Dr Sudhir Kumar Mishra, former Director General of BrahMos Defence Research and Development Organization, Principal Dr P.K. Jhinge, and coordinators Dr Rajiv Chandak and Dr Agya Mishra, lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and prosperity. During the event, MLA Ashok Rohiniji announced a generous contribution of Rs 10 lakh from the MLA fund towards building an auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 students.

Eminent speakers at TEDx Talks shared impactful insights to inspire students, the first speaker was
Dr. Sudhir Mishra, former Director General of BrahMos Defence Research and Development Organization , emphasized the importance of balancing work and happiness during his talk titled "Prioritizing Physical Wellness." He highlighted the pillars of life: Artha, Kama, Moksha, and Nirvana. Dr. Mishra focused on helping students solve life problems scientifically and discussed engineering systems, emphasizing the importance of mind, body, and soul. In today's fast-paced life, every person is leaving his happiness behind and running after work. Work is important, but happiness of oneself and family is also very important. Further he discussed engineering systems. He explained that mind software, body hardware and soul are considered important elements for effective systems engineering.He informed about the importance of a healthy body and also said that the presence of the soul is life, the absence of the soul means death.
Dr. Tanu Jain, former IAS Officer And Motivator , stressed in her speech titled "Maximizing Human Potential" that the journey towards self-awareness and social improvement starts from within. Speaking on the subject of “Capitalizing Human Potential”, she highlighted the limitless capabilities within everyone. Dr. Jain encouraged students not to lose hope in the face of failure but to approach the next attempt with increased self-confidence. Drawing inspiration from the lives of Thomas Alva Edison and Abraham Lincoln, she motivated students to strive for success.

Ms.Sampada Singh Gurjar, Deputy Collector spoke on "Perspectives on Empowerment Options," discussing education and career opportunities for young people. She shared her success story of securing placements in renowned companies She emphasized choosing options in life but ensuring clarity. Setting a goal and making efforts accordingly is crucial. Young people should select only as many options as they can handle. She provided insights into the KGF method, a technique for navigating the maze of choices Presently, youth often navigate through various options simultaneously, leading to confusion and getting lost in their own maze. Therefore, the selection of options should be more thoughtful and deliberate.
Shri Dhyanu Das, Entrepreneur from Fluids and Investors ,highlighted “The Significance of Time and Guidance" shared insightful perspectives on entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of time and guidance during his talk. He highlighted the need to incorporate animation into the country's education system, enabling children to receive education through audio and video mediums. Shri Dhanu Das candidly discussed his own journey, recounting a financial loss of 3 to 4 crore in Mumbai's music industry and an initial unsuccessful business venture. He acknowledged the significance of patience in entrepreneurship, stating that rushing into the first business while being late for the second is a common mistake. Shri Dhanu Das outlined five success principles: time, fact, mentorship, location, and ideas. Stressing the importance of adaptability in business, he also drew inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches.

The inaugural function ended with a cultural program where students of Dance-on group displayed their dancing talents. The event featured dynamic dance performances and soulful music by the Raag Musical Band. Students wowed the audience with fusion performances, mixing different styles.
Sufi music added to the atmosphere, creating a captivating experience. These performances not only entertained but also reminded everyone of the diverse cultural heritage within our student community.
Speakers reminded students that education means more than just earning degrees—it's about being versatile.
Triumphant Conclusion of TEDx: A Day of Inspiration and Cultural Celebration: 16 February 2024
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, India faced significant challenges but managed to handle the crisis effectively, ultimately emerging as a strong economy on the global stage”. This perspective was shared by the motivational speaker Prashant Pole during his address at the TEDx event held at Jabalpur Engineering College.
The TEDx event, which spanned for two days, was a blend of cultural programs and motivational speeches aimed at inspiring and uplifting the attendees.
Motivator, Shri Prashant Pole further added that during the COVID-19 period, uneducated labourers in India established the Chanpatiya model, which has now transformed into a textile company. At the same time, the established medical textile company reached the second position globally within just 6 months. The natural flour mill made by the tribals in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh is also on the rise. Similarly, students should strive to become self-reliant.Prashant Pole's message resonated the inspiring thought that: “students must embrace self-reliance”. The stories of grassroots initiatives turning into global successes emphasize the importance of independence and resilience.By fostering these traits,the students will be ready to face challenges and make a difference in the world.
Shri Vivek Satnami joined the program virtually and shared valuable insights about “Life and Career Choices”,leaving a profound impact on the audience. He emphasized the importance of pursuing what you love and what brings you happiness. Reflecting on his journey, Vivek explained that his family has always been involved in business, and he was expected to follow the same path. However, after completing his education, he realized that his true passion lay in entertaining people rather than working in a shop. Vivek found joy and fulfilment in making people laugh, which led him to choose a comedy career. He highlighted that despite familial expectations and a traditional business background, he decided to follow his heart and carve out his unique path. His story served as an inspiration for the audience, encouraging them to pursue their passions and find happiness in their chosen careers.
Nitish Mishra , a music director and scriptwriter, set the tone for a motivational talk by discussing“The Evolving Nature of Life Goals”. He highlighted that while the objectives we begin with may change over time, having a clear purpose remains crucial. Reflecting on his journey, Nitish shared how his education at JEC paved the way
for his entry into the film industry, a field he ultimately chose to pursue passionately. Nitish's narrative resonated deeply with the students, especially when he shared anecdotes from his time at JEC and how those experiences shaped his career path. To further inspire and engage the audience, he performed a melodious tune on the flute, showcasing his musical talents.
The event, which combined cultural programs with motivational speeches, was guided by Principal Dr. P.K. Jhingeand organized by Dr. R. Chandak, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and Dr. Agya Mishra, Head of the AI Department.The overarching theme of the TEDx event was the importance of not being afraid of challenges. Both the speakers and the organizers emphasized that life's obstacles are inevitable, but it is the determination to overcome them that leads to true success.
The program concluded with a cultural evening organized by the students, perfectly complementing the insightful lectures given by the speakers earlier in the day. The event featured a variety of cultural

performances, including classicaldances that earned enthusiastic applause from the audience. The musical segment of the evening was equally enchanting, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained by the talent on display. His vision was effectively implemented by the coordinators, Dr. Chandak and Dr. Agya Mishra, who left no stone unturned in fulfilling the theme of TEDx JEC, "Infinity Mirage: Reengineering the Future."
