Vivekananda's Vision: National Youth Day Educational Excursion on 13 January 2024.
On January 13, 2024, by Technical Education directives, an educational visit was arranged for students. The visit included B.Techstudents
accompanied by their professors, who visited the 765/440 kv substation at PGCIL in Jabalpur. The welcoming committee at the substation
comprised of Shri Rajesh Mukati, DGM, MPEB, Shri Rahul Ahirwar, Manager, and Shri Saraubh Dubey, Technician. During the visit, the experts
explained the functioning of various substation equipments. They shared insights into the operations of essential components such as lightning
arrestors, circuit breakers, CT, PT, CVT, wave traps, and 3-phase transformers.

The students had the opportunity for hands-on exploration of the substation, gaining practical knowledge about these components.
The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of the practical aspects of substation operations in line with the educational objectives
set by Technical Education. The warm welcome and informative sessions conducted by the experts at PGCIL contributed to a valuable and
enriching educational experience for the students.
Accompanying the students on this educational visit were Dr.Preeti Jain, Prof. Nitin Saxena, Prof. Akansha Srivas, Prof. Neha Nema, and Prof. Ayush Nema.
The group was warmly seen off by Dr.Shailja Shukla, Head of the Electrical Department, and Dr. Arvind Sharma, Dean of Academics. Principal, Dr. P.K. Jhinge,
played a crucial role in providing support and enabling this educational visit.
The collaborative efforts of faculty and the principal demonstrate how linking classroom learning with real-life situations is vital for engineering students.
This educational visit echoed Swami Vivekananda's vision for empowering the youth to shape a brighter future.
