Computer Science & Engineering
This department was established in 1996, keeping in mind the increasing application of computers in almost all areas of human endeavor. It was started with the intake of 30 students which gradually increased to 90 students in the year 2000. In the following years the students not only cleared campus-interviews but were also selected by Research Institutions.
The department has signed MOU with IBM. By this agreement the teachers will receive training in the field of Software. The students will also take up project work under the expert guidance of IBM staff.
The department has two well equipped CCF (Central Computing facility) laboratories and one Center of Excellence Laboratory to support computing including Networking, automation, multimedia, graphics, hardware and Neuro Fuzzy Control.

HIGHLIGHTS
1. This year about 50 students have been selected by different companies through campus interviews.
2. About 26 students have made their mark in GATE & CAT, 2009-10
3. The experts from IBM visit the college very frequently & impart training to the students. It also conducts on-line tests and awards certificates to the students.
4. Two faculty of the department took an innovative-step, the first of its kind in M.P., by setting up a network of fifty computers on which people entertained themselves by playing various 3-D computer games. An equipment for Computerized Technical Quiz has also been set-up in the department to help the students in sharpening in sharpening their technical knowledge.
